In this presentation, we will provide an in depth review of Health Care Reform and recent regulatory updates to this legislation. Benefit professionals will learn how to manage National Health Care Reform’s many requirements. There will be an emphasis on the changes employers must make now to comply with this legislation as well as changes which must be made in the coming months.

Matt Lapointe
Matt Lapointe
Matt joined Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA firm in 1991. He represents a variety of entrepreneurial and closely-held businesses. Matt serves as general outside counsel to a number of companies, counseling business owners on financing, succession planning, corporate governance and general business matters. In his health care practice, Matt concentrates on the representation of health care
providers (primarily physicians and dentists) and advises clients with respect to internal governance issues, hospital/physician contracting, Medicare/Medicaid Fraud & Abuse and Stark Law compliance, licensing, and other regulatory matters. The New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper named Matt one of New Hampshire’s “40 Under Forty” in 2003. Matt also received a special citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service from the Greater Manchester Chapter of the American Red Cross in 2002. He was recently named a “Best Lawyer in America” by Woodward/White in the area of Corporate Law. Matt is admitted to practice in the states of New Hampshire and Florida. He is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association.
Paula Drozdal Connors
Paula Drozdal Connors advises our clients on all aspects of group benefit plans including plan design, benefit funding methods, compliance issues, consumer directed programs and wellness initiatives. Paula Drozdal Connors serves on the broker advisory boards of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Care and Delta Dental. She is also a member of Aetna’s National Broker Advisory Council. Paula Drozdal Connors has been with Sapers & Wallack for over twenty years.
Paula Drozdal Connors has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College. She is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University. Paula Drozdal Connors is a member of New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC) and Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA).
